စက္တင္ဘာ ၂ ရက္ေန႔က၊ ဗီယက္နမ္ႏိုင္ငံ၊ Quang Na နယ္၊ ေတာင္ေပၚ ရြာေလးတစ္ရြာ မွာ ျဖစ္ခဲ့တာပါ၊  အသက္ ၃၃ ႏွစ္ရွိ အမ်ိဳးသမီး Ho Thi Yen ဟာ သားေလးကို ေမြးဖြားျပီး မၾကာခင္ ေသြးထြက္လြန္ရာကေန ေသးဆံုးသြားခဲ့ပါတယ္။ ေဒသဓေလ့ ယံုၾကည္မွဳအရ ကေလးေမႊးျပီး ေသးဆံုး သြားတဲ့ မိခင္နဲ႔တူ ေမြးကင္းစကေလးကိုပါ တစ္ပါတည္း ျမွပ္ႏွံပစ္ဖို႔ က်န္ခဲ့တဲ့ မိသားစု၀င္ေတြနဲ႔ ရြာသားေတြက စီစဥ္ၾကပါတယ္။ ဒီအေၾကာင္းကို ၾကားသိရျပီး အဲဒီေဒသရဲ့ က်န္းမာ၀န္ထမ္း အမ်ိဳးသမီးတစ္ဦး ျဖစ္တဲ့ Ho Thi Hieu ဟာ ေမြးကင္းစ ကေလးငယ္ရဲ့ အသက္ကို ကယ္ႏိုင္ဖို႔ မိသာစု၀င္ေတြနဲ႔ ရြာသားေတြထံမွာ အသနားခံပါတယ္။ ဒါေပမဲ့ သူတို႔က လက္မခံပဲ ပယ္ခ်ခဲ့ပါတယ္။ ေနာက္ဆံုးဘယ္လိုမွ ေမတၱာရပ္ခံ မရအဆံုး သူမဟာ ကေလးကို လွ်ပ္တစ္ပ်က္ ေကာက္ေပြ႔ျပီး က်န္းမားေရးဌာနထဲကို တစ္ဟုန္ထိုး ေျပး၀င္ခဲ့ပါတယ္။ ေနာက္ဆံုး Hieu ဟာ တန္ဖိုးရွိတဲ့ လူ႔အသက္တစ္ေခ်ာင္းကို ကယ္တင္ႏိုင္ခဲ့ပါတယ္။ ဆရာ၀န္ေတြကေတာ့ ကေလးကို  Quoc Khank (အမ်ိဳးသားေန႔) ဆိုျပီး နာမည္ေပးလိုက္ၾကပါတယ္။ ဒီျဖစ္ရပ္နဲ ပတ္သက္ျပီး ဖမ္းဆီးခံရသူ တစ္ဦးတစ္ေယာက္မွ မရွိခဲ့ပါ။

မိခင္ေတြဟာ ကိုယ့္အသက္ထက္ သူတို႔ရဲ့ သား သမီးေတြ အသက္ရွင္ဖို႔အတြက္ကိုသာ ဦးစားေပး စဥ္းစားၾကပါတယ္။ တကယ္လို႔ဒီအေၾကာင္းကို Quoc Khanh ရဲ့ မိခင္ တမလြန္ကေန သိမယ္ဆိုရင္ ရင္နာလို႔ ဆံုးမွာ မဟုတ္ဘူး။

Songkran (သၾကၤန္) road toll rises to 229

A total of 229 people were killed and 3,172 others injured in 2,932 road accidents from April 11 to 16, the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department reported on Sunday.

On Saturday, 41 people were killed and 386 others injured in road accidents, according to the department.
Nakhon Sawan had the largest fatalities, 13, followed by Bangkok and Ayutthaya (11 each).
The department reported the road toll for the first six days of the “seven dangerous days” of Songkran festival at 188 yesterday.

Earthquake Devastation Reported in Shan State ( ရွမ္းျပည္နယ္တြင္ အင္အားျပင္းငလ်င္လႈပ္)

More than 40 people were killed in Tarlay, a town in Burma's eastern Shan State, following last night's magnitude 6.8 earthquake, according to rescue and relief department sources in Naypyidaw.

More casualties were expected amid reports of widespread devastation in the area, where many buildings, roads and bridges were destroyed by the earthquake that struck at 8:25 pm local time on Thursday.

Agency: Japanese nuclear crisis on par with 3 Mile Island

Tokyo (CNN) -- Japan's nuclear and industrial safety agency on Friday raised the level for the crisis at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant from a 4 to 5 -- putting it on par with the 1979 incident at Pennsylvania's Three Mile Island.
According to the International Nuclear Events Scale, a level 5 equates to the likelihood of a release of radioactive material, several deaths from radiation and severe damage to a reactor core.
Chernobyl, for example, rated a 7 on the scale, while Japan's other nuclear crisis -- a 1999 accident at Tokaimura in which workers died after being exposed to radiation -- was a 4.
In Pennsylvania, a partial meltdown of a reactor core was deemed the worst nuclear accident in U.S. history.
